Berean was founded in 1969 as a church planting outreach of Bethel Baptist Church of Kalamazoo and the Galilean Baptist Mission. We began with 61 charter members and a vision to establish a Bible-believing Baptist church in the Portage area. Through the years, God has been faithful to us and continues to be gracious as we seek to glorify Him.
Berean Baptist Church often works together with other churches who believe as we do – both locally and nationally. We are also part of an international association of churches called the General Association of Regular Baptist Churches.
